Just takes practice. Crash 2 was my first game I got for my PS1 back in the day. Crash 1 is definitely the hardest, and 3 is basically a joke minus the relic stuff but I never liked time challenges so I ignored them. 2 is that "sweet" spot where it starts easy, and then gets challenging around world 4.
